Danielle Bess
Teri D. Fields knows that her clients are suffering after a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence, and they need guidance to navigate the system. Victims of car accidents, negligent security, slip and fall incidents, and other injuries caused by another person’s negligence deserve compensation for their losses, but it takes significant work to get fair treatment from insurance companies.
Teri finds true satisfaction in using her legal expertise and skill as a litigator to help clients gain the maximum recovery for their injuries. She also wants her clients to feel secure in the knowledge that she can help them deal with additional legal challenges associated with an accident, such as probate or conservatorship of a minor if someone passes away due to their injuries.
“We really care about our clients,” she explains. “We want them to feel better first, and then we want to seek the recovery that they’re entitled to, to make them whole.”
A lifelong resident of the Atlanta area, Teri earned her undergraduate degree from George State University and received her J.D. degree from Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama. She honed her litigation skills and gained unparalleled insight into the legal system while serving as an Assistant Attorney General at the Georgia Department of Law.
Then she moved into private practice to serve clients directly, working in both large, diverse firms and smaller boutique practices. She also served as an adjunct professor at Clayton State University.
Now, at South Atlanta Injury Lawyers, she is able to put her broad base of experience to work for clients in an attentive, intimate, boutique legal practice that puts clients’ needs first. Teri enjoys handling all aspects of a case, from initial counseling and strategy to building a case through tactical discovery, presenting arguments in legal briefs and oral presentations, and if necessary, challenging a finding through the appeals process.
Teri can sum up her practice by following their motto, “Love of Humanity and Justice for All.”
“We have the opportunity to help people every single day. It’s not always about the money. We make sure we understand what the client wants and help them achieve that.”

Danielle Bess appreciates having the opportunity to help people recover when they are at their worst. When clients are injured and just want to get back to a normal life, she fights to ensure that insurance companies live up to their obligations to pay for medical expenses, car repairs, and other losses from accidents. She listens carefully to find out what clients want most. Often, they simply want to recover the ability to continue doing the things they enjoyed before their injuries. She works to get the resources they need to reach their goals.
“We are in business for our clients to make sure they’re treated fairly and that they get what they want,” she explains. While people often believe it should be a simple matter to receive what they deserve from insurance companies, Danielle knows that the profit motivations behind insurance company decisions will require a serious legal battle to get fair results. And she is ready.
With vast experience in litigation, Danielle understands how to succeed in court and in administrative hearings. She knows how to build a case for success in any tribunal, whether a complex jury trial or a focused hearing at the Board of Veterans Appeals. In addition, she has unique experience succeeding in high level appellate courts.
She has helped clients suffering from personal injuries, as well as those harmed by unlawful employment practices and those who need assistance getting benefits through the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Her reputation for achieving success for her clients has led to an AV Preeminent rating through the peer review process provided by the prestigious Martindale-Hubbell organization. She has also earned a 10.0 rating from clients and attorneys on Avvo.
When Danielle is not helping clients, she enjoys hiking with her family. She is an avid gardener and even works on a garden at the office.
